Have you upgraded your previous Windows version(Windows operating system like XP/Vista or Seven) to Windows 8?. if you are going to do this, then first check your pc compatibility. If you are previously using Windows 8 Developer/Consumer Preview it is as easy as running the upgrading. After the Windows 8 upgrade you will notice that your free space on your hard drive(specially C: drive) has diminished by quite a lot. That is due to your old windows directory(previous windows version system files) has been moved to a folder at C:\Windows.old folder by the Windows 8 upgrade setup. Hard disk space used by this folder can be empty by deleting this unnecessary folder. Windows does include a utility to help you get rid of this bulky folder forever.
